Salisbury nightclub hosts play on mental health

5:39am 18th May 2018 A Salisbury nightclub is hosting a play about mental health. 'Owls' focuses on attempted suicide and mental illness and has been written by local author turned playwright Jayne Woodhouse.

The story focuses on two strangers who meet on the roof of a multi-storey car park: Anna, who is about to jump, and Steve, the hapless security guard who finds her. The play is on tonight (Friday 18th May) and tomorrow (Saturday 19th May) at The Chapel on Milford Street and a collection after will support the local branch of the Samaritans.Salisbury nightclub hosts play on mental health Tickets are available here:

The production has been timed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week. Research shows two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes. Spire FM has this week been raising awareness of the need to talk openly about our mental health.
