Traffic management

Hanwha Techwin has launched the Wisenet Group ANPR cameras for use in traffic management applications.

Harnessing Hanwha's powerful proprietary chipset, the edge-based cameras share many features of the Wisenet ANPR single-use solution introduced at the end of 2017. The Wisenet intelligent traffic management solutions have been developed in partnership with analytics experts FF Group.

For small sites with multiple entrances/exits or roadways. The range also includes a number plate server solution for large site management and cloud-based options for multiple sites and cameras.

  • Camera-to-camera IP communication technology accomodates up to four Wisenet Group ANPR cameras (one master camera and three slaves) to work in concert
  • Instantaneously transmits vehicle number plate data to a single web-based display
  • Recognises and automatically controls the movement of white-listed cars through barriers via camera relay outputs
  • Other information generated includes 'time spent' and occupancy rates.

Hanwha Techwin says

"Collectively, these ANPR solutions provide car park access control for business applications, as well as large scale city wide based systems which help local authorities keep people safe, enforce parking regulations and detect other traffic infringements," said Bob (HY) Hwang PhD, managing director of Hanwha Techwin Europe.

"The key benefit of the deep integration of FF Group's analytics with our Wisenet cameras is that users can deploy a highly effective ANPR solution without having to evaluate the myriad of specialist analytics solutions on the market."
