CCTV appeal after Lidl security guard threatened with knife at Sunderland store

A security guard was threatened with a knife at a Sunderland[1] supermarket. Northumbria Police[2] says the incident happened at Lidl on Salterfern Road on Thursday, November 16 but the force has only just released the details. On Monday, police officers issued CCTV of a man they want to trace.

It is believed he was in the store at the time and could help officers with their enquiries.

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 1057 161117.
